Selection Process & Committee Protocol
The Selection Process
1. The Selection Process (Evaluation & Criteria)
The selection protocol for the Dr. M. A. Wazed Miah International Gold Medal is structured to ensure fairness, verifiability, and global credibility. All assessments are grounded in documented achievement, ethical standing, and measurable contributions to society.
Core Criteria for Honor
The Foundation recognizes individuals whose work demonstrates extraordinary, verifiable impact in key sectors—Education, Scientific and Academic Fields, Innovation, and Social Welfare and Humanitarian Service. Selection emphasizes:
• Documented Work:
Comprehensive review of authenticated professional records, publications, innovations, and recognized contributions.
• Integrity and Societal Impact:
Ethical conduct, public benefit, and long-term impact are indispensable determinants in the award process.
Evaluation Steps
The evaluation framework is administered through a structured, multi-tier process governed by the Foundation’s Central Executive Authority and the specialized Nomination Board.
1. Review of Documented Work:
The process begins with an initial screening of the nominee’s verified portfolio, achievements, and professional contributions.
2. Assessment by Authorized Committees:
Designated DMWF committees—comprising subject-matter experts, senior evaluators, and members of the Nomination Board—conduct in-depth assessments, validations, and comparative evaluations.
3. Final Ratification:
The concluding decision is formally ratified by the Founder & Central President, A.K.M. Farhadul Kabir, based on the consolidated recommendations of the expert committees. This ensures both accountability and alignment with the Foundation’s global mission.
